Unless you’re generating it yourself, your electricity comes from the national grid (at least if you live on the Eastern seaboard). This is a giant machine of wires that connects all the generators (wind, solar, hydro, coal-fired) with all the users of electricity. Once a generator produces electricity and pours it into the grid, it’s impossible to tell where the electricity came from.
